April 16, 2022, marked the 15th anniversary of the tragic loss of Danny while in service to his country as a U. S. Marine in Iraq. He graduated from Rocky River High School in 2005.

Danny Scherry’s Salute to Service will organize the school community to support monthly food collections to benefit the Rocky River Assistance Program (RRAP). The RRAP is sponsored by the Rocky River Women’s Club and benefits more than 1,000 Rocky River families in need.
Please consider honoring Danny or a Veteran by making a financial donation to the RRAP.
In addition, there are volunteer opportunities to help sort and distribute food at the RRAP collection facility in Rocky River. To volunteer, sponsor, or donate to a food drive, please contact the Rocky River Assistance Program at www.rrwc.org/rrap.
Danny Scherry’s Salute to Service is focused on accomplishing three goals:
- Honor military members of the Rocky River community.
- Inspire the Rocky River school community to help and serve others.
- Promote patriotism and civic pride in the Rocky River community.
