Honoring Service and Sacrifice: NEOPAT’s Partnership with Operation Flags of Freedom
NEOPAT’s partnership with Operation Flags of Freedom (OFOF) reflects a shared mission to honor our veterans and military service members. Central to this initiative is Steve Toohey, whose dedication has made a significant impact on communities across Northeast Ohio.
In 2024, Steve drove 10,290 miles, spent 297 hours on the road, and coordinated 123 events to set up and take down 9,729 flags, dedicating 224 hours to these displays of gratitude. These flags appear at parades, Veterans Day ceremonies, and memorial events, serving as powerful reminders of the sacrifices made by our military.
Steve’s work transforms open spaces into places of reflection and unity, where communities can honor the resilience and service of military members. “In the last 12 years of honoring our military, veterans, and Gold Star families, I thank God every day for the freedoms we have and the chance to display patriotism through the American flag,” Steve said. “I’m proud to have a positive impact on our communities and the great people who love the USA.”
Through NEOPAT’s support, OFOF continues this vital work, fostering a culture of gratitude and ensuring that every veteran feels appreciated. Steve’s commitment reminds us all of the importance of honoring those who serve. Together, we can ensure their legacy is celebrated, one flag at a time.
