Faces of Service: Brittany Davis
Strengthening Communities Through Connection and Care
For Brittany Davis, service is about using her experience, skills, and relationships to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. As a therapist, clinical leader, business owner, community volunteer, mother, and wife of an Army veteran, she brings that commitment to every part of her life.
Her connection to the military community spans generations. Her grandfather served in the U.S. Navy, her husband, Ken, is an Army veteran, and her cousin is a retired Chief in the U.S. Air Force. Their experiences have shaped Brittany’s appreciation for the commitment, sacrifice, and resilience of military members and the families who stand beside them.
“To me, service takes many forms, but at its core, it is about showing up for people—and that is a value my family has taught me throughout my life,” Brittany says.
Turning Experience Into Support
Brittany has spent nearly 20 years working in behavioral health, including more than 16 years specializing in eating disorders. With extensive experience in clinical leadership, she continues to provide direct clinical care and serves as a Clinical Lead at Cornerstone Behavioral Health.
She is also the founder of Next Level Behavioral Consulting, where she provides behavioral health consultation, training, clinical supervision, leadership development, and program development. Across these roles, she is passionate about helping people recognize mental health concerns earlier, reducing stigma, and ensuring individuals and families know where to find support.
That work has also created a meaningful opportunity to serve alongside her cousin. A registered dietitian and retired Air Force Chief, her cousin partners with Brittany to support individuals experiencing eating disorders and disordered eating, as well as those working toward better overall health and quality of life.
“There is something incredibly special about seeing her commitment to service continue beyond her military career and being able to work alongside her,” Brittany shares.
Building Connections Close to Home
Brittany’s commitment to service extends into the community where her family lives. Since January 2025, she has served on the board of State of Mind: Hudson, supporting efforts to increase mental health awareness, education, and connection.
She has been especially excited to support opportunities such as Mental Health First Aid training, which helps community members develop practical skills to recognize and respond when someone may be struggling.
Through her consulting work and community involvement, Brittany also brings together therapists, behavioral health organizations, medical professionals, educators, advocates, and other community partners. She believes that building relationships around a shared desire to help others creates opportunities for greater impact.
For Brittany, that impact often appears in everyday moments: helping someone discover a resource, watching a person realize they are not alone, or giving a clinician the tools to feel better prepared to support someone in need.
Making Mental Health Conversations Accessible
As a member of a military family, Brittany understands that veterans, service members, and their loved ones may carry experiences and responsibilities that others do not fully see. She wants to use her professional background and connections throughout Northeast Ohio to help make mental health conversations more accessible within those communities.
“As a mental health professional and member of a military family, I also recognize that strength should never mean having to carry everything alone,” she says. “I want veterans, service members, and their families to know that seeking support is not a sign of weakness.”
At the center of Brittany’s many roles is one guiding value: connection. Whether she is supporting a client, collaborating with another professional, or volunteering in her community, she hopes to help create a culture where people feel supported, valued, and comfortable reaching out.
