Veterans Enjoy a Great Day at NEOPAT’s Annual Fishing Event
On Friday, August 28, NEOPAT welcomed veterans from the VA for its annual fishing event through the Perry Thomas Demming Outdoor Freedom Project.
The event provided veterans with an opportunity to step away from their daily routines and enjoy a peaceful day outdoors. Participants spent the day fishing, sharing stories and building connections with fellow veterans and volunteers in a welcoming environment.
Outdoor experiences like this can provide meaningful therapeutic benefits while encouraging camaraderie and relaxation. Whether casting a line, enjoying the natural surroundings or simply spending time together, the veterans had a chance to unwind and take part in a memorable day created especially for them.
Dedicated volunteers were on hand throughout the event to offer assistance and ensure every participant felt supported and included. Their generosity and commitment helped make this annual gathering another tremendous success.
NEOPAT is proud to continue providing experiences like this through the Perry Thomas Demming Outdoor Freedom Project. We extend our sincere appreciation to the veterans who joined us, the VA for helping connect participants with this opportunity and everyone whose support made the day possible.
It was a great day on the water and another meaningful reminder of the importance of creating spaces where veterans can connect, recharge and experience the healing power of the outdoors.
