On the evening of September 10th, NEOPAT was honored to gather with supporters
and friends at the Union Club for a special conversation with Vice Admiral Joe Tofalo,
USN (Ret.). The evening was filled with thoughtful dialogue, camaraderie, and reflection
on the vital role our service members play in safeguarding our nation.
Admiral Tofalo shared his perspective on the U.S. Navy, the importance of our nation’s
submarine fleet, and the challenges that lie ahead. His remarks were both insightful and
inspiring, providing everyone in attendance with a deeper appreciation for the sacrifices
and dedication of those who serve.
We are especially grateful to volunteer Paul Carleton for hosting and for his unwavering
support of NEOPAT’s mission. During the evening, Paul shared a phrase that resonated
with all of us: “Serving your country through your community.” These words beautifully
capture the heart of NEOPAT’s work—to stand by veterans, service members, and their
families here in Northeast Ohio, ensuring they receive the care, support, and recognition
they deserve.
The evening was a reminder of the power of community and leadership in advancing
our mission. We extend our sincere thanks to Admiral Tofalo for his time and
perspective, and to Paul for his friendship and dedication. Together, they helped create
an evening that inspired reflection, strengthened connections, and reaffirmed our
shared commitment to those who have sacrificed so much.
