The Cleveland Cavaliers hosted an unforgettable Salute to Service Night, celebrating and honoring our nation’s veterans and active-duty military personnel. Held on Saturday, November 9th at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, the event was a powerful show of gratitude, bringing together service members, their families, and Cavs fans in a night full of patriotism.
The evening kicked off with a special pre-game reception sponsored by Ohio CAT, where veterans and military groups from across Northeast Ohio gathered. Representatives from various organizations, including NEOPAT and veteran employee resource groups, were recognized for their efforts in supporting military families and enhancing veterans’ well-being.
As fans filled the arena, a moving presentation of the national anthem set the tone, and the color guard took center stage, reminding everyone of the sacrifices made by those who serve. Ohio CAT, the event’s sponsor, played a pivotal role in making the evening possible, showcasing their commitment to giving back to the veteran community.
The highlight of the night was the game itself. The Cavaliers took on their rivals ultimately pulling off a great win to stay undefeated. Salute to Service Night was a memorable evening that combined sport and tribute, celebrating the service and sacrifice of veterans in a way only Cleveland could.
