Approximately 100 VOA staff members, veterans, area community leaders, and Glenville residents crowded onto the lot at the corner of East 105th and Lee Avenue in Cleveland’s Glenville neighborhood for the dedication of the Judge Sara Harper Village. In attendance at the June 22 event was retired judge and retired Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel Sara Harper herself. The 95 year-old judge was surrounded by her family for the dedication of a new veteran-centric affordable housing complex for women veterans with children named in her honor. NEOPAT has been a proud financial and program supporter of this initiative. This marks the fourth major initiative along East 105th in support of veterans and military families in which NEOPAT has engaged. Other projects along what has become known as “The Corridor of Care for Military Families” are the Gold Star Families Monument, the Cuyahoga Community College distance learning lab located in the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center, and the two recently dedicated Fisher Houses. The Sara Harper Village is scheduled for completion in Spring of 2022. Semper Fi Judge Harper!
