Strengthening Veteran & Military Employee Resource Groups
NEOPAT hosted a Veteran & Military Employee Resource Group (ERG) Lunch & Learn at Lorain County Community College (LCCC), bringing together representatives from organizations across Northeast Ohio to explore best practices for engaging veterans and military families in the workplace.
A special thank you to Ryan Murphy for highlighting the impactful work of LCCC’s Student Veterans Group, showcasing how colleges can support those transitioning from military service to civilian careers. His insights provided valuable perspective on fostering veteran-friendly environments in both educational and corporate settings.
The event featured roundtable discussions where attendees shared strategies for engaging veterans within their companies. These conversations sparked fresh ideas on how to enhance veteran resource groups, including leadership involvement, mentorship programs, recognition initiatives, and community engagement opportunities. The exchange of experiences and best practices reinforced the importance of building strong support networks for those who have served.
