Members of the Ohio Army National Guard stopped to take a break from their work day to sweeten their Sunday.

The Northeast Ohio Foundation for Patriotism (NEOPAT) was proud to sponsor “Sundaes Sunday” on April 18, for members of the military assigned duties at the Cleveland State University Wolstein Center – Federal COVID Mass Vaccination site.  For the past month approximately 600 members of the US Army, the US Navy, the Ohio Army National Guard and the Ohio Air National Guard have been on duty at the Wolstein Center administering COVID vaccinations.  As of mid-April approximately 130,000 area residents had been vaccinated at the Wolstein Center Mass Vaccination site.  NEOPAT was pleased to sweeten the day for the troops with two Sundae Bars set up in the break rooms where the troops dine.  Some 400 Sundaes were served up.  According to LT Dan Lutz of the Ohio Air National Guard, “This was one of the best morale boosters we have had since we’ve been on this assignment.  It really made the day!”  The Mass Vaccination Site is expected to be operational through mid-June.
