NEOPAT, in conjunction with the Scott & Julie Mawaka Foundation, proudly presented the 9th annual Our Community Salutes event on May 5, 2019 at Progressive Field. The gathering serves as a way to honor and recognize the more than 500 courageous and patriotic young adults from Northeast Ohio who will serve the U.S. Armed Services after graduation and join the 1% of Americans who serve in uniform.
Enlistees and their families were greeted on site by senior officials and recruiters from each military branch and participated in a pre-game parade on Progressive Field as well as a picnic lunch, before spending the afternoon watching the Indians game with their fellow recruits.
NEOPAT’s Our Community Salutes event is the largest event of its kind in the nation and hosts over 1,000 guests annually from 12 counties in Northeast Ohio. Class of 2020 enlistees may enroll in the 10th Annual Our Community Salutes event beginning in March of 2020 and should contact their local recruiter for more information.
