On Sunday, April 26th, NEOPAT was honored to welcome Gold Star families to Burntwood Tavern for a special morning of connection, remembrance, and fellowship. Set in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, the day offered a meaningful opportunity for families to come together, share stories, and spend time with others who understand the unique journey of honoring a loved one lost in service.
Around shared tables, families reconnected with familiar faces, met new friends, reflected on cherished memories, and found comfort in the understanding that comes from being surrounded by others who carry similar stories of sacrifice and love.
Gatherings like these serve as an important reminder that remembrance is not only found in ceremonies or monuments, but also in relationships—in laughter shared over brunch, stories passed across generations, and the continued support we offer one another.
The setting at Burntwood Tavern provided the perfect backdrop for the gathering, allowing families to relax, connect, and simply enjoy each other’s company. Moments like these reinforce the strength and resilience within the Gold Star community and the importance of creating spaces where those bonds can grow.
At NEOPAT, it is a privilege to help bring these families together and to continue Keeping the Promise to honor the legacies of our fallen heroes by supporting those they left behind. We are grateful to everyone who joined us and made the morning so special.
Sunday’s event was a beautiful reminder that while loss is part of every Gold Star family’s story, so too is community, remembrance, and enduring love. We look forward to continuing these opportunities to gather, honor, and ensure these families always know they are surrounded by a grateful community.
