CrossCountry Mortgage Student Scholarship
Supporting military-connected and JROTC students
Made possible by CrossCountry Mortgage, this program provides ten $1,000 scholarships to eligible Northeast Ohio high school students in grades 9–12.
The scholarship recognizes students whose experiences as members of military families or JROTC participants have helped shape their character, leadership, educational goals, and commitment to serving others.
Who can apply?
Applicants must:
- Be enrolled in grades 9–12 during the 2026–2027 academic year.
- Attend school or reside in one of NEOPAT’s eligible Northeast Ohio counties.
- Be the child or legal dependent of a current or former member of the United States Armed Forces; or
- Be actively participating in their high school’s JROTC program.
- Be in good academic standing.
- Submit a complete application by March 1, 2027.
Eligible military affiliations include Active Duty, National Guard, Reserve, veteran, retired, fallen, and deceased service members.
How can the scholarship be used?
The $1,000 scholarship may be used for approved educational expenses, including:
- College, university, trade school, or vocational-school tuition
- Dual-enrollment or college-credit courses
- Career certifications or professional training
- Required books, supplies, technology, or equipment
- Academic camps and leadership programs
- Other approved education-related expenses
Applicants will be asked to describe their military-family or JROTC connection, their educational and career goals, their involvement in leadership and service, and how the scholarship would support their future.
