Throughout Memorial Day week, NEOPAT and Operation Flags of Freedom created a powerful display of patriotism and remembrance at Edgewater Park.
There are 150 American flags lined the shoreline as a moving tribute to the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. The display served as both a place of reflection for visitors and a visual reminder of the freedoms preserved through the courage and sacrifice of our military heroes.
The project was made possible through the dedication of volunteers from Hudec Dental, who helped place the flags along the lakefront. Their efforts demonstrated the spirit of service and community involvement that continues to strengthen Northeast Ohio’s support for veterans, military families, and remembrance initiatives.
Throughout the week, visitors to Edgewater Park stopped to take in the display, reflect on the meaning of Memorial Day, and honor those who never made it home. Against the backdrop of Lake Erie and the Cleveland skyline, the rows of American flags created a powerful and emotional experience for many families and community members.
NEOPAT remains committed to ensuring that remembrance remains a central pillar of its mission. Events and displays like this not only honor the fallen, but also provide opportunities for the community to come together in gratitude, reflection, and patriotism.
NEOPAT extends its sincere appreciation to Operation Flags of Freedom, Hudec Dental volunteers, and everyone who contributed their time and energy to making the Memorial Day display possible. Their support helped create a meaningful tribute worthy of the service and sacrifice of our nation’s heroes.
