On Sunday, November 9th, hundreds of runners, walkers, and families gathered at Edgewater Park for the annual Veterans 5K, presented by CrossCountry Mortgage and the Cleveland Metroparks. Despite a steady morning rain, the spirit of the day shone brightly as participants came together to honor those who have served our country.
The scenic course along Lake Erie was filled with energy and pride as participants took on the hills with determination. Many carried American flags high above their heads, while families pushed strollers and ran side by side, making it a true community celebration. Every stride taken was a tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of our veterans and military families.
From the starting line to the final stretch, the sense of unity and gratitude was unmistakable. The event served as both a challenge and a moment of reflection—reminding everyone why we gather to “run for those who ran before us.”
