2024 Ohio Veterans Conference

It was a full house at The Ohio State University Student Union on August 3rd as approximately 500 veterans from around the State of Ohio gathered for the 2024 Ohio Veterans Conference.  Hosted by the Ohio Department of Veterans Services (ODVS), the event provided attendees with access to the resources being offered by the 120 organizations with information tables, including NEOPAT. 

The day also included informational breakout sessions about health care, tax benefits and financial wellness, fraud scams targeting veterans, employment and workforce development, and legislative issues pending in the Ohio House and Senate impacting veterans.  NEOPAT Senior Advisor Rick DeChant was able to provide key attendees, including ODVS Director Major General Deborah Ashenhurst (USA, ret), with an update on NEOPAT activities and programs.

The Austintown Fitch High School choir proved lunchtime entertainment with a selection of patriotic songs honoring veterans.
