NEOPAT is keeping its promise to honor and remember our fallen heroes with a virtual Memorial Day Ceremony for Northeast Ohio families.
“We put this video together to make sure that despite COVID 19, Memorial Day and its significance are not forgotten,” said Rick DeChant, NEOPAT Director of Strategic Initiatives. “Sadly because of the pandemic the majority of public Memorial Day observances have been cancelled. We felt this would be the best way to ensure that those from Northeast Ohio who made the ultimate sacrifice in the defense of our nation – as well as their families – were not forgotten.”
The Northeast Ohio Foundation for Patriotism (NEOPAT) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization created to honor patriots who serve, or have served, in the armed forces. 110 young men and women from Northeast Ohio have died serving our country. NEOPAT exists to honor these 110 by keeping their spirit alive and comforting their families. Part of NEOPAT’s mission is dedicated to promoting patriotic acts that will deepen the sense of patriotism locally. By encouraging non-military individuals and families to share time, talents, and finances to benefit local patriots and creating interaction opportunities between civilian and military families, NEOPAT can highlight the importance of patriotism for generations to come.
