This past weekend, the spirit of the season—and the power of community—shined brighter than ever at the annual WQMX Tree of Lights fundraiser benefiting NEOPAT. On Saturday, December 6th, listeners, families, sponsors, and supporters gathered at the WQMX studios for a full day of holiday fun, giving, and gratitude, all in support of our local military members and their families.
Guests stopped by to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, visit with reindeer from Spring Mist Farms, snap photos with a real-life princess carriage, and enjoy the magic of the holidays—all while supporting the NEOPAT Cares Campaign. The day concluded with the lighting of the star atop the Tree of Lights, a moment made even more meaningful by the generosity behind it.
Because of WQMX’s generous listeners, partners, and everyone who came out to support the event, an incredible $122,812 was raised for NEOPAT. This record-breaking total will directly support emergency assistance requests, mental health therapies, and holiday support for military families right here in Northeast Ohio.
The Tree of Lights was proudly powered by Klaben Auto Stores, Gunner Roofing, J.W. Didado Electric, and 94.9 WQMX, with the brilliant star atop the tree made possible by Barberton Tree Service, the official Star Lighting Sponsor. A special thank you also goes to Summit Collision Pros for bringing Santa and Mrs. Claus to the event and helping create unforgettable memories for families.
WQMX once again demonstrated what it means to truly stand behind our nation’s heroes. Their continued commitment to NEOPAT and our military families is inspiring, humbling, and deeply appreciated.
To WQMX, every sponsor, every donor, every volunteer, and every person who stopped by—thank you. Because of you, NEOPAT can continue to keep our promise to those who serve and have served.
