NEOPAT Supports Race to End Veterans Suicide (REVS)

The air was crisp and cold but that didn’t stop over 350 runners from lining up for the 4th Annual REVS 22 – Race to End Veteran Suicide –  event held in Elyria Ohio the morning of November 8.  Sponsored by the Lorain County Veterans Service Commission, the event draws attention to the issue of 22 veteran suicides a day in the nation.

Numerous support resource groups were on hand to provide access to service for veterans and military families.  NEOPAT was again this year honored to help support the race.  NEOPAT’s support was recognized by race organizers before the start of the race.  The event represented a great effort in creating awareness of the mental health issues faced by veterans and their families.  Mental health awareness and access to supportive resources is a key NEOPAT initiative.

NEOPAT was recognized for its support of the 4th Annual REVS 22 Race.  Saying thanks were (from left to right):  Jacob Smith, Executive Director of the Lorain County Veterans Service Commission; Stephen Bansek, Lorain County Veterans Service Commission Commissioner; Rick DeChant, NEOPAT Senior Advisor; and Craig Bansek, Lorain County Veterans Service Commission.
