On Friday, October 3rd, NEOPAT joined with the Western Reserve Land Conservancy to host the Annual Pheasant Hunt—a day filled with fresh air, camaraderie, and gratitude for those who have served our nation.
It was a picture-perfect fall day providing the perfect backdrop for an afternoon of connection and tradition. More than 20 veterans took part in the hunt, each bringing their own stories, experiences, and spirit of service. While the day was about enjoying the outdoors and the thrill of the hunt, the true highlight came in the friendships and conversations shared along the way.
Veterans walked side by side, sharing laughs, swapping stories, and building bonds that extend far beyond the hunt itself. The event created space not just for recreation, but also for community—a chance to honor one another and strengthen the ties that make Northeast Ohio’s veteran network so resilient.
Of course, no pheasant hunt would be complete without a few four-legged friends. Several loyal hunting dogs joined in the day’s activities, darting through fields, flushing birds, and wagging their tails with unmistakable joy. They reminded us that sometimes the simplest companions can bring the greatest happiness.
NEOPAT is grateful to the Western Reserve Land Conservancy for once again partnering with us on this special tradition. Together, we are proud to provide veterans with meaningful opportunities to connect, heal, and enjoy the natural beauty of our region. A beautiful fall day, good friends, and shared purpose—that’s what makes the Annual Pheasant Hunt so memorable.
